What is the Injury Recovery Process?
1. Initial Evaluation
During the first appointment with Dr. Degroot, he will examine the patient's range of motion and determine if diagnostic imaging, medication, and bracing are necessary.
2. Follow Up
Patients return to our office after one to two weeks to review their imaging results. At this point, patients should have already started a trial of physical therapy or chiropractic treatment.
3. Injections
If a patient is not making progress with conservative treatment options, then a procedure might be recommended to relieve the pain.
4. Surgical Consultation
Due to the severity of the patient's symptoms or MRI findings, they could be referred to a specialist for additional review.
